speak. Citizen comments on the 'Public Hearing' portion of the meeting will be
accepted at the appropriate time during the meeting. Visitors: JoAnn Orchard,
Residents need better communication with the city especially since this tornado
tragedy. She designed tee shirts for the many volunteers helping with the clean
up, if anyone is interested. Karen Dunson, Thank you city officials for helping
the citizens of Trotwood with the tornado event. People were blindsighted.
Some of the communication wasn't the best. Fire Chief said, he was just
thankful there was no loss of life as the first responders were the first to go out
to rescue people.

City Manager Pope said this is an agreement with Choice One Engineering for
the design, bid preparation, for the stormwater realignment along Rio
Grande/George Street for the prevention of flooding that's occurred in this area
over the years. Funding will come from the local stormwater fund. Mayor

City Manager Pope explained, the city would like to make application for
partial funding to the Montgomery County Community Block Grant for the the
installation of sanitary sewer system from Whispering Drive that crosses over to
Mario Drive, Rio Grand Avenue and George Street. Mayor McDonald asked for

b. Council Members
Mayor McDonald - Various organization are here in our city lending support to
our residents in light of the tornado disaster. We need citizens to return to
their homes. Emergency contacts are on our web site facebook for those
displaced. Ohio Job and Family Services, private & public partners are
helping to rebuild from this devastation. Thank you Marsha Bonhart for
helping the city with the public relations communications. Vice Mayor Gales -
Lawyers will be coming to work for free to help the people with legal
assistance. Mr. Page - We need to take care of our people as a priority. Ms.
Brown, Mr. Vaughn and Ms. Finley all agree - We welcome other communities
if they would like to help us with the clean up. We also need to help out the
other communities if we can.

c. City Manager: Reminder to visit the City of Trotwood web site at
www.trotwood.org for updated information and events in our city. Go to "Notify
Me" icon to sign up to receive information by utilizing your email address or
mobile phone.
City Manger Pope said Trotwood is resilient we will come back to normal -it
will take time. Governor Mike Dewine contacted President Trump to declare a
major natioanl disaster so we can seek funding for federal disaster assistance
with FEMA for the State of Ohio as a result of the tornadoes, severe storms and
flooding on May 27-29, 2019. The City of Trotwood, the City of Brookville,
Harrison Township, City of Huber Heights, and City of Dayton all were effected
throughout the region extending to 10 counties. 40% of our people do not have
insurance to rebuild. Our city apartments, commercial buildings and
residential buildings were damaged mostly in the northern part of our city.
Citizens needing help can call the disaster distress hotline 1-800-985-5990 for
mental health issues. Home clean up 1-800-451-1954. Red Cross 937-221-750.
