TROY CITY COUNCIL
LAW COMMITTEE
October 30, 2020
3:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 3:15 p.m. by Committee Chair Steele.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll Call: The roll being called, the following answered to their names: Council Member Ashe-
McPherson, Council Member McDermott, Council President Mantello (member ex officio),
Council Member Steele, Chair. Also present were Council Member Gulli, Council Member
Cummings, and Council Member Zalewski.
In attendance were Mayor Patrick Madden, Deputy Mayor Monica Kurzejeski, and Corporation
Counsel Richard T. Morrissey. No members of the public attended.
McDermott made a motion to move to Executive Session for a discussion of pending litigation
with the Corporation Counsel. Executive session began at 3:30 p.m. and ended at 4:35 p.m.
Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 4:36 p.m.

Discussion of Pending Litigation – Corporation Counsel
*Per the Council rules (§ 2-25), because there is no legislation on this agenda, there will not be a
public forum at this meeting. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, City Hall is closed to the
public. The only City staff participating in this meeting will be those staff who the Council has
invited to participate in discussion. Pursuant to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order No.
202.1, the portions of the meeting that are not in Executive Session shall be live-streamed on the
City Council’s YouTube channel.
