The meeting was called to order at 4:10 p.m. by Committee Chair Steele.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll Call: The roll being called, the following answered to their names: Council Member Ashe-
McPherson, Council Member McDermott, and Council Member Steele, Chair. Council Member
Gulli, Council Member Cummings, and Council Member Zalewski were also present.
In attendance were Mayor Patrick Madden and Corporation Counsel Richard T. Morrissey.
Ashe-McPherson made a motion to enter executive session to discuss pending litigation; motion
carried 3 ayes, 0 nos. The Law Committee was in executive session from 4:12 p.m. to 5:36 p.m.
Ashe-McPherson made a motion to end executive session; motion carried 3 ayes, 0 nos.
Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 5:36 p.m.

Discussion of Pending Litigation – Corporation Counsel
*Per the Council rules (§ 2-25), because there is no legislation on this agenda, there will not be a
public forum at this meeting. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, the public is restricted from
attending this meeting in person and the only City staff participating in this meeting will be those
staff who the Council has invited to participate in discussion. Pursuant to Governor Andrew
Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 202.1, the portions of the meeting that are not in Executive
Session shall be live-streamed on the City Council’s YouTube channel.
