TROY CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes Tuesday, July 16, 2024 9:30 A.M. Troy City Hall 433 River Street, Suite 5001 Troy, NY 12180 Present: Chairperson, Mike Sullivan; Commissioner William Barhold and Executive Secretary, Heather Muller. Absent: Commissioner, Ellen Fogarty Commissioner Sullivan called the meeting to order at 9:32 am. 1. Consider the minutes of the June 18, 2024, meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to table the minutes of the June 18, 2024, meeting due to the absence of Commissioner Fogarty, seconded by Commissioner Barhold, all voted in favor: 2-0; 1 Absent. 2. Review the open competitive exam announcement for Police Officer, Exam # 88819010. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to approve the open competitive exam announcement for Police Officer, Exam # 88819010, seconded by Commissioner Barhold all voted in favor: 2-0; 1 absent. 3. Review the open competitive exam announcement for Police Officer Spanish Speaking, Exam #88820010. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to approve the open competitive exam announcement for Police Officer Spanish Speaking, Exam #88820010, seconded by Commissioner Barhold all voted in favor: 2-0; 1 absent. 4. Establish an open competitive eligible list for four (4) years for Family Self-Sufficiency Program Coordinator, Exam #68650. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to establish an open competitive eligible list for four (4) years for Family Self-Sufficiency Program Coordinator, Exam #68650, seconded by Commissioner Barhold, all voted in favor: 2-1 Absent. 5. Establish an open competitive eligible list for four (4) years for Purchasing Agent, Exam #85622. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to establish an open competitive eligible list for four (4) years for Purchasing Agent, Exam #85622, seconded by Commissioner Barhold, all voted in favor: 2-1 Absent. 6. Establish an open competitive eligible list for four (4) years for Stock Clerk, Exam #60155. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to establish an open competitive eligible list for four (4) years for Stock Clerk, Exam #60155, seconded by Commissioner Barhold, all voted in favor: 2-1 Absent. 7. Consider an MSD-222A to establish one (1) additional position of Typist, for the Troy School District. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to approve the MSD-222A to establish  (1) additional position of Typist, for the Troy School District Appointing Authority, seconded by Commissioner Barhold, all voted in favor: 2-1 Absent. 8. Consider an MSD-222A to establish one (1) additional position of Police Matron, for the City of Troy Department of Public Safety division of Police Civilian. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to approve the MSD-222A to establish (1) additional position of Police Matron, for the City of Troy Department of Public Safety division of Police Civilian, seconded by Commissioner Barhold, all voted in favor: 2-1 Absent. A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to adjourn the meeting at 9:36 A.M., seconded by Commissioner Barhold, all voted in favor: 2-1 Absent.
