I. CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Meeting of the Committee on Aging was called to order at 12:01 p.m. by
Dick Johnson at the Tulare Senior Community Center, Bill Thompson Room.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Lemus, Dick Johnson, Kathy Perryman, and Jackie
Zupp.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Pam Malloy and Brian Beck
STAFF PRESENT: Lorraine Zorn
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The flag salute was conducted.
III. CITIZEN COMMENTS – None.
IV. COMMUNICATIONS - None.
V. CONSENT CALENDAR
(1) The minutes of January 20, 2015, were M/S/P by Dick Johnson and Kathy Perryman and
unanimously approved.
VI. SCHEDULED CITIZEN OR GROUP PRESENTATIONS – None.
VII. GENERAL BUSINESS
NUTRITION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn presented the January 2016 Report.
RECREATION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn presented the January 2016Report.
Trips –
At this time there are no scheduled trips to Chukchansi Casino because the
casino does not offer group rates/offers. As soon as group tours are available
we will schedule trips. We still continue to offer trips by Collette Vacations –
Colors of New England and Reflection of Italy
Special Events –
The Super Bowl Luncheon sponsored by Linwood Meadows, February 5 th,
and the Volunteer Recognition Ceremony sponsored by Twin Oaks Village,
February 12th, were both successful and enjoyable events. Upcoming event
is St. Patrick’s Day luncheon sponsored by Tulare Regional Medical Center.
Classes & Activities –
Lorraine reported on the January 2016 recreation report. The Senior
Softball league will begin in March. The AARP is going well. The
appointment slots are almost all full. There are 2 AARP Volunteers that
help prepare taxes documents every Friday.

This is the time for citizens to comment on items within the jurisdiction of the Board. The
Board cannot legally discuss or take official action on citizen comments that are introduced
today. Each speaker will be allowed three minutes, with a maximum time of 10 minutes per
item, unless otherwise extended by the Board.
IV. COMMUNICATIONS
Communications are to be submitted 10 days prior to a meeting to be considered for this
section of the Agenda. No action will be taken on matters listed under communications;
however, the Board may direct staff to schedule issues raised during communications for a
future agenda. Citizen comments will be limited to three minutes, per topic, unless otherwise
extended by the Board.

All Consent Calendar Items are considered routine and will be enacted in one motion. There
will be no separate discussion of these matters unless a request is made, in which event the
item will be removed from the Consent Calendar to be discussed and voted upon by a
separate motion.
