I. CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Meeting of the Committee on Aging was called to order at 12:05 p.m. by Albert Lemus
at the Tulare Senior Community Center, Bill Thompson Room.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Lemus, Jackie Zupp, Pam Malloy, and Kathy Perryman
MEMBERS ABSENT: Priscilla Musgrove.
STAFF PRESENT: Brian Beck and Lorraine Zorn
GUESTS: None.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The flag salute was conducted.
III. CITIZEN COMMENTS – Lorraine introduced Brenda Salazar.
IV. COMMUNICATIONS - None.
V. CONSENT CALENDAR
(1) The minutes of April 19, 2017, were M/S/P by Jackie Zupp and Kathy Perryman and unanimously
approved.
VI. SCHEDULED CITIZEN OR GROUP PRESENTATIONS – None.
VII. GENERAL BUSINESS
a. NUTRITION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn presented the April 2017 report.
b. RECREATION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn presented April 2017 Report.
Trips –
The next Chukchansi Casino trip is scheduled for June 15.
Special Events –
Fiesta Day, sponsored by AMDAL and Mother’s Day, sponsored by Tulare Nursing &
Rehabilitation, May 5 and 12. Lorraine stated that the Moo Mile & 5K coordination is
going as planned.
Classes & Activities – None.
c. TULARE SENIOR SERVICES REPORT: Jackie Zupp stated that TSS is currently having
elections, the announcement of candidates will be in June Newsletter and the new board will
start in July.

This is the time for citizens to comment on items within the jurisdiction of the Board. The
Board cannot legally discuss or take official action on citizen comments that are introduced
today. Each speaker will be allowed three minutes, with a maximum time of 10 minutes per
item, unless otherwise extended by the Board.
IV. COMMUNICATIONS
Communications are to be submitted 10 days prior to a meeting to be considered for this
section of the Agenda. No action will be taken on matters listed under communications;
however, the Board may direct staff to schedule issues raised during communications for a
future agenda. Citizen comments will be limited to three minutes, per topic, unless otherwise
extended by the Board.
V. CONSENT CALENDAR:
All Consent Calendar Items are considered routine and will be enacted in one motion. There
will be no separate discussion of these matters unless a request is made, in which event the
item will be removed from the Consent Calendar to be discussed and voted upon by a
separate motion.
