MISSION STATEMENT
TO PROMOTE A COMMUNITY MAKING TULARE THE MOST DESIRABLE PLACE TO LIVE,
LEARN, PLAY, WORK, WORSHIP AND PROSPER
I. CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Meeting of the Committee on Aging was called to order at 12:08 p.m. by Albert Lemus
at the Tulare Senior Community Center, Bill Thompson Room.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Pam Malloy, Priscilla Musgrove, and Kathy Perryman
MEMBERS ABSENT: Albert Lemus and Jackie Zupp
STAFF PRESENT: Lorraine Zorn
GUESTS: None.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The flag salute was conducted.
III. CITIZEN COMMENTS – Lorraine stated that the Senior Column for the Tulare Senior Center
was printed in the Tulare Advance Register every other Friday and is no longer going to be
printed. TSS and the City will possibly have paid advertisements.
IV. COMMUNICATIONS - None.
V. CONSENT CALENDAR
(1) The minutes were M/S/P by Kathy Perryman and Priscilla Musgrove and unanimously approved.
VI. SCHEDULED CITIZEN OR GROUP PRESENTATIONS – None.
VII. GENERAL BUSINESS
a. NUTRITION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn passed out the July 2017 report.
b. RECREATION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn passed out the July 2017 report..
Trips –
The next Chukchansi Casino trip is scheduled for September 14.
Special Events –
The next special event luncheon will be Western Day, September 18, 11:30 a.m.
Classes & Activities – The July 2017 report was given.

This is the time for citizens to comment on items within the jurisdiction of the Board. The
Board cannot legally discuss or take official action on citizen comments that are introduced
today. Each speaker will be allowed three minutes, with a maximum time of 10 minutes per
item, unless otherwise extended by the Board.
IV. COMMUNICATIONS
Communications are to be submitted 10 days prior to a meeting to be considered for this
section of the Agenda. No action will be taken on matters listed under communications;
however, the Board may direct staff to schedule issues raised during communications for a
future agenda. Citizen comments will be limited to three minutes, per topic, unless otherwise
extended by the Board.
V. CONSENT CALENDAR:
All Consent Calendar Items are considered routine and will be enacted in one motion. There
will be no separate discussion of these matters unless a request is made, in which event the
item will be removed from the Consent Calendar to be discussed and voted upon by a
separate motion.

Approve Committee minutes of July 19, 2017. The June meeting was cancelled.
