CALL TO ORDER 4:04 Lisa Hollingshead 2 II. CITIZEN COMMENTS: This is the time for citizens to comment on items within the Lisa Hollingshead 2 jurisdiction of the Advisory Board. The Board cannot legally discuss or take official action on citizen comments that are introduced today. Each speaker will be allowed 3 minutes, with a maximum of 10 minutes per item, unless otherwise extended by the board. III. COMMUNICATIONS: Communications are to be submitted 10 days prior to a Lisa Hollingshead 2 meeting to be considered for this section of the Agenda. No action will be taken on matters listed under Communications; however, the Board may direct staff to schedule issues raised during Communications for a future agenda. Citizen comments will be limited to 3 minutes per topic, unless otherwise extended by Board. IV. ITEMS OF STUDENT INTEREST Crystal & Stephanie 5  Both Crystal and Stephanie introduced themselves; they are juniors from Mission Oak and they love books and the library.  Board members and library staff introduced themselves V. CONSENT CALENDAR: All Consent Calendar items are considered routine and will Lisa Hollingshead 2 be enacted in one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these matters unless a request is made, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Calendar to be discussed and voted upon by a separate motion.  Approval of Minutes – October 16, 2019 Board member Lippincott moved to approve minutes, Board member DeMuth seconded  Policy approval-Board member Schauland made a motion to approve donation policy, Board member DeMuth seconded VI. SCHEDULED CITIZEN OR GROUP PRESENTATIONS Lisa Hollingshead 2 VII. GENERAL BUSINESS Lisa Hollingshead 3  Community Services updates: Discussion of Fishing Derby Craig Miller 10 success, 3 week winter camp, Parks & Rec.- improvements at Blain (playground equipment) Heidi Clark Library Staff 10  Snapshot of Stats & Library Updates  Programs & Outreach (VRC, COHS graduation, staffing, Board Members 10 etc.) : Library-new full time staff starting, VRC 5th Anniversary in Feb., transition to Windows 10, 10 year Anniversary and Strategic Plan coming up   Presentation & Discussion (Edge & Data): see handout for presentation, discussion revolved around how to use statistics to inform and direct where we put our focus  Suggestions from the Board: discussed pros and cons of a library bookmobile, marketing, understanding community needs VIII.
