Changes to Agenda: Chair Shipley requested information on the status of the vacant Commission position at the next meeting. Chair Shipley asked that an interpretive sign be investigated for the grange building on Cleveland Ave that is now a Starbucks Coffee location. Approval of Minutes –April 2023 Commissioner Rossiter moved, seconded by Commissioner Slakey, to approve the minutes of April 20, 2023 as presented. Motion unanimously approved. No public comment Brewmaster’s House Repairs: Staff provided the commission with an update on repairs to the Brewmaster’s House. This included discussion on building security and fire alarm sensors as well as reconstruction timelines and project status. The main purpose of the meeting was to evaluate, consider and select wall paper that will be installed in the house as repairs are completed. Staff have been working with designers and wall paper contractors to provide the commission with colors, patterns and styles that would have been installed in a house from the 1905 time period. Manager Osborn explained the process to the commission and provided examples and several recommendations for each room in the house. Commissioners evaluated samples in each room based on the recommendations, colors, compatibility and the use of the space within the house. The walls in each room and each ceiling were voted on and the wallpaper code was assigned to that space. The recommendations from the Commissioners will be sent back to the wall paper designer and contractor for review and comment. The Commission approved slight modifications from the designer for authenticity and compatibility. Chair Shipley commended Manager Osborn for his detailed work on the project to prepare for the commission meeting. Next Meeting: The next meeting is scheduled on July 20, 2023. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 7:52pm
