MEETING MINUTES
TUMWATER HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION - SPECIAL
March 12, 2026
CONVENE: 6:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Chair Dave Shipley and Commissioners Don Trosper, Marnie
Slakey, Alex Rossiter and Dave Nicandri
Not Excused: Commissioner Rob Paylor
Staff: Parks and Recreation Director Chuck Denney, Recreation
Manager Todd Anderson, Sustainability Manager Alyssa Jones
Wood, Urban Forester Brian Caughlan and Assistant City
Administrator Kelly Adams
CHANGES TO THE No changes to the agenda.
AGENDA:
APPROVAL OF Commissioner Nicandri moved, seconded by Commissioner
MINUTES: Slakey, to approve the minutes of January 15, 2026, as
published. A voice vote approved the motion unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Public comment was given by Commissioner Nicandri.
DAVIS MEEKER OAK Assistant Administrator Adams reviewed the Davis Meeker Oak
TREE WORK PLAN treatment plan provided by Todd Prager & Associates with the
APPROVAL REQUEST: Commissioners and answered their questions.
MOTION: Commissioner Nicandri moved, seconded by Commissioner
Trosper, to approve the Davis Meeker Oak Treatment Plan as
provided by Todd Prager & Associates. A voice vote approved
the motion unanimously.
NEXT MEETING DATE: The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2026.

ADJOURNMENT: With there being no further business, Chair Shipley adjourned
the meeting at 7:08 p.m.
