Previously, Tom served as Vice President of Original Productions at Turner Classic Movies (TCM) in Atlanta for 17 years. While there he oversaw production on all long form documentaries and in- studio shoots. He also was executive producer on five Emmy-nominated documentaries and series. While at TCM, Brown was executive in charge of production on special Elvis Presley projects featuring Priscilla Presley, Jerry Schilling, Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana, George Klein and the TCB Band among others. Prior to his tenure at TCM, Tom worked as a reporter/producer for TNT Network on the national entertainment news program “Rough Cut” in Los Angeles. Before that he spent several years in St. Louis and Shreveport, working as an entertainment TV reporter, morning radio show host and producer. Tom began his television career in his hometown at WTVA. He credits Channel 9 announcer Ed Bishop and musicians/hosts Buddy and Kay Bain as being his broadcast mentors. Brown’s first taste of show business was as a teen, working at local Tupelo movie theatres as a house manager and projectionist. For almost 20 years, Tom has served as the host of Elvis Week events at Graceland, interviewing Elvis’ family, friends, musicians and movie co-stars. For the last 11 years he’s also hosted the Tupelo Elvis Festival and is host/co-producer of the Nashville Elvis Festival. In addition to these stage appearances, Brown is also the host of the “Gates of Graceland” video web-series produced by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Tom grew up all over Tupelo and attended local schools Lawhon, Thomas Street, Church Street, Milam, Carver and Tupelo High School where he graduated in 1978. Brown is also a graduate of NEMCC and the University of Mississippi with a degree in Theatre Arts. He’s the son of the late Herbert Brown (former Air Force recruiter and manager of Lee County Tire) and Polly Adkins who lives in Mantachie. Tom’s wife Lisa Childress Brown works at the Community Development Foundation in Tupelo and they live in Mooreville with their two dogs, Millie and Maxine. APPENDIX A APPENDIX A APPENDIX A APPENDIX A APPENDIX A Jason is a 30+ year resident of Tupelo, and has been co- owner of Café 212 in downtown Tupelo for over 14 years with his beautiful wife Amanda. Jason has worked with, and served on several committees and groups including the Down On Main concert series, BancorpSouth arena commission, and Tupelo Rocks. He was a co-founder of The Mustache Bash which raised money for the Autism Center of North Mississippi. Jason is a graduate of Tupelo High School and attended classes at Itawamba Community College as well and Northeast Community college here in MS.
