City Council Special Called Meeting

CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MUNICIPAL MINUTES CITY OF TUPELO STATE OF MISSISSIPPI SEPTEMBER 22, 2020 ROUTINE AGENDA Be it remembered that a special call meeting of the Tupelo City Council was held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall building on Tuesday, September 22, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. with the following in attendance: Markel Whittington via teleconference Lynn Bryan via teleconference Nettie Davis in person Buddy Palmer in person Mike Bryan in person Willie Jennings in person Missy Shelton, Council Clerk in person City Attorney Ben Logan in person Council President Mike Bryan called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM. IN THE MATTER OF BUDGET AMENDMENT #9 Councilman Palmer moved, seconded by Councilman Jennings, to approve Budget Amendment #9 for the 2019-2020 Budget, as presented. After an explanation from CFO Kim Hanna and a brief discussion, the vote was unanimous in favor of those in attendance. APPENDIX A IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUPELO REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINSTRATION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO DECLARE THE NECESSITY FOR ISSUANCE OF STATE GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS Councilman Palmer moved, seconded by Councilman Jennings, to approve the Resolution of the City of Tupelo Requesting the Department of Finance and Administration to Adopt a Resolution to Declare the Necessity for Issuance of State General Obligation Bonds. After a brief explanation by Mayor Shelton and CFO Kim Hanna, the vote was unanimous by those in attendance. APPENDIX B ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, Councilwoman Davis moved, seconded by Councilman Jennings to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous in favor of adjournment. This the 22nd day of September, 2020.
