Office of the City Engineer RE: Julia Tutwiler Drive & Campus Drive Improvements OCE Project 2025.007.001 ATRIP II Grant Application Request: The Office of the City Engineer (OCE) and Accounting & Finance are seeking approval to apply for the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program-II (ATRIP-II) for 2026 to support the construction of the Julia Tutwiler Drive & Campus Drive Improvements. Applications are due by November 14, 2025. Project Scope: The purpose of this project is to maintain access to Julia Tutwiler Drive, and adjacent properties, from McFarland Boulevard following completion of ALDOT’s pending Woolsey Finnell Bridge / McFarland Boulevard project. This project will also include changes to Campus Drive and travel lanes through the Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools site. Project Funding In addition to potential ATRIP-II Grant funding, the funding source for this project is GF-RFFI 20309030- 25516.  Maximum ATRIP-II Grant funds: $2,000,000.00  Preliminary Opinion of Construction Cost: $3,413,000.00 5
