Twin Lakes Protection & Rehabilitation District Steering Council Meeting Minutes Date: April 13, 2024 Time: 10:00 am Place: Twin Lakes Community Room 1. Meeting called to order 2. Roll Call: Tony, Bryan, Dean, Jack, Richard, 3. Minutes: 11/18/2023 approved 4. Public Comment 5. Committee Reports: -Fish -Communication-Pam, animal infestation Lake Elizabeth’s N. Shore -Invasive Species- Dean’s report for treatment recommends work to be done per proposal from Wi. Lakes & Ponds -Shoreline- see new business -Stormwater – brochure ready New Business A) SEWRPC letter-disappointment about content, waiting for more information and they are to provide additional reports according to Tony. B) Approval of Wisconsin Lakes and Ponds treatment of the lakes. – Jim Carl doing a really good job reducing invasive species, including some troublesome channels, (Lakeview and Hickory Point, amongst other locations.). Motion to approve work Pam made motion, approved C) Knobs Landing update. Drain near beach spend which was previously passed. Rich will get proposal for the work and then it will be brought to board. Pam moved to request a written proposal from Creative Landscaping about the drainage outlet at Knobs Landing not to exceed $10,000. Passed. Rich will get the proposal. D) Proposed Bay View project. This area includes 14.4 and 0.85 parcels which are owned by Wolinski per the County GIS system. This is good idea according to Greg, but he needs Laura Roesslein to be involved before going forward with any further analysis. Tony will approach Laura and Howard. Miscellaneous: -Dean referenced Tom Carney’s interest in sharing ideas to improve the Lakes and he’ll attend a future meeting. -Rich brought up some buoys’ placements need improving.
