Park Committee Meeting

July 3rd event Chair, Cindy Cornelius confirmed Rockstar DJs for the July 4th fireworks event at a cost of $1,080 (6:30-10:30 PM). Space and equipment needs were reviewed to allow adequate dancing area. A drone show was considered but dismissed due to tree coverage, visibility concerns, and cost. Movie Night The committee discussed options for movies for Movie Night on May 15, Ferris Bueller's Day Off was selected, with sunset at 8:15 PM. Other options discussed included Monty Python and The Three Musketeers. City staff Paula Dries will manage licensing and logistics. Family Fun Day Planning continues for Family Fun Day on June 13. Progress has been made on Game World reservations for activities, and food truck options are being explored. Wing Snob is a favored choice for affordability and quality, and Moodlicious Ice Cream has been contacted for pricing. Easter Egg Hunt-April 4th Preparations for the Easter Egg Hunt are complete, with gifts , baskets, and decor ready. Selfie/photo props for the Easter Bunny were rediscovered and will be used for the Easter Egg Hunt event. Meeting time proposal Leah proposed moving the meeting start time from 6:30 PM to 6:00 PM for future meetings. The committee approved the change, and next month's meeting will serve as the first trial of the new start time. With no further business Janet motioned to adjourn seconded by Leah.
