Notes: Workshop January 18, 2023 Mayor Sessions called to order at 3:30PM. • Introduced Allan Robertson Allan Robertson introduced guests and they gave presentation on Ship Wake: • Kim Garvey • Jared Lopes Allan Robertson addressed council: • Applying for grants for money for beach re-nourishment • DCA Grant will end 3/23/2023 • What do you want to do about projects for 2023 Shawn Gillen • Draft budget will be available in April • Modify LDC and Master Plan o George has RFP for consultants to do LDC • Prioritize capital in budget • Develop long term funding plan for water needs o Look into water rate increase • Need to address trash pickup on beach o Trash bags give to Burke rental customers o Code Enforcement will assist if Orange Crush happens • Upgrade Jaycee Parks o Develop task force o New soccer field • Solar o Possible remodel of City buildings • Beach rules enforcement o Need more from Code Enforcement • Room tax o Where should it go • Public safety • Pension Plan o Workingon o Budget will be effected • Beach Re-nourishment o Shawn and Shirley working on -12 year plan • Street Maintenance o Working with Pete, DPW • Traffic flow for holidays o Plan in place and will continue for large weekends Brian West • Plan for Memorial Park o Shawn will meet with himto discuss Spec Hosti • Future of TIMA o More buildings o Old School possibility • Shirley Sessions o Need community input on major projects Next workshop February 15, 2023
