Town Council Regular Meeting

Tyrone Town Council Meeting Minutes Special Called August 26, 2020 4:00 p.m. Present: Mayor, Eric Dial Mayor Pro Tem, Gloria Furr Council Member, Linda Howard Council Member, Melissa Hill Town Manager, Brandon Perkins Town Clerk, Dee Baker Finance Manager, Sandy Beach Planning and Zoning Coordinator, Phillip Trocquet Mayor Dial called the meeting to order with limited seating and broadcasted on YouTube Live at 4:00 pm. The public was invited to watch. Council Member Howard attended virtually. Approval of Agenda Council Member Furr made a motion to approve the agenda. Council Member Howard seconded the motion. Motion was approved 3-0. Old Business Adoption of the millage rate of the Town of Tyrone for fiscal year 2020-2021. Sandy Beach, Finance Manager Mayor Dial informed everyone that the Town held several public hearings regarding the millage rate, this meeting’s purpose was to adopt the proposed millage rate. Ms. Beach explained that if the Town maintains their 2.889 mills for the thirteenth year in a row, it would result in approximately, $80,781 in property taxes from the previous year. Council Member Hill seconded the motion. Motion was approved 3-0. Adjournment Council Member Furr made a motion to adjourn. Motion was approved 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 4:01 pm.
