1. Consideration to approve Coweta County WASA Maintenance Agreement Amendment for
Sewer Pump Station 5.
Mr. Langford shared that in May of 2019, the Town contracted with Coweta Water and Sewer
Authority (WASA) to monitor and help maintain our pump stations. With the additional sewer
lines downtown, there will be an additional pumpstation added. With the assistance from our legal
counsel, we have added the fifth pump station at no additional cost. He added that each
pumpstation costs $550 to maintain per month. Coweta WASA’s board voted to approve the
agreement last night. He shared that regular inspections were held weekly. If a problem was
detected, such as; de-clogging there would be an additional charge as described in the agreement.
This does not happen frequently. He shared that costs have been budgeted for.
Mayor Dial had some concern regarding how the agreement read. Mr. Davenport informed
everyone that the agreement reflected changes that needed to be made. He gave examples of a
section that needed to be removed, due to a payment made in the past. The numbering reflected
the changes.
Council Member Campbell made a motion to approve the agreement with Coweta WASA for
$2,750 per month for the maintenance of all five pump stations per month.
Council Member Howard seconded the motion. Motion was approved 4-0.
