Thank you very much. I'd like to 9 thank the Commissioners for sharing in the vision 10 of working every single day, seven days a week to 11 make our City better. We thank the voters of 12 Union City -- all the residents of Union City, 13 whether you can vote, whether you don't vote, 14 whether you're documented, undocumented, for 15 choosing to live in Union City or to have their 16 business here. We truly appreciate that. It 17 makes us very, very proud. And we promise to 18 continue working extremely hard every single day 19 to make the City better, and that we pledge. 20 Hopefully, over the summertime we'll 21 have more of an outdoor event where all the 22 residents and volunteers can enjoy a good out time 23 together. The City of 9 Union City has never seen a mayor of this caliber. 10 And I believe throughout history that it will 11 never be repeated. 12 Mayor, congratulations on the great work 13 you're doing, you're going incredible work on 14 behalf of all the residents of Union City, not 15 only the schools, the parks, the streets, but the 16 overall care of our residents. He's a Union City resident, we want to 20 recognize him and thank him for getting involved 21 and make sure he contacted the police department, 22 assisted the police department in apprehending 23 that individual who committed those horrific 24 crimes in the subway in New York City. 25 So, while we're waiting for him, we have  25 1 one liquor hearing, which is for Sol Chicken at 2 2903 Bergenline Avenue. 3 Mr. Farmer, if you could step forward. 4 And maybe if counsel is here for Sol Chicken or 5 the owners, would they like to step forward. 6 MR. Sol Chicken, I can't 20 really give you an explanation as to why they're 21 not here. When the police went there, they didn't 22 have anything. And the establishment really isn't 23 a bar, it sells food, I didn't even think it had a 24 liquor license. So I'd like an opportunity for 25 Lieutenant Dunlay to go down there and make  26 1 sure -- 2 MAYOR STACK: This is on Sol Chicken? 3 MR. FARMER: Yeah. And put 4 everything -- 5 MAYOR STACK: They've been there a long 6 time. 7 COMMISSIONER VALDIVIA: They seem to run 8 a good business. 9 MR. FARMER: Absolutely. But did you 10 know they had a liquor license? 11 COMMISSIONER VALDIVIA: Yes, I did. I 12 remember when they came here and the mayor told 13 them, you know, I think they run the business the 14 way they've been doing from the beginning. 15 MR. FARMER: So I would just ask that be 16 adjourned. 17 And the other one, Tropical Bar. We had 18 a conference with them, I don't understand why 19 he's not here, but we have this worked out. And 20 it's going to be a 20 day suspension, starting -- 21 MAYOR STACK: Just make sure he's at the 22 next meeting. 23 MR. FARMER: I will because I want to 24 wrap things up. 25 MR. AUTERI: Yes, Mayor, the next item 6 on the agenda is the proclamation. 7 COMMISSIONER FERNANDEZ: The City wants 8 to honor Zack Tahhan. 9 MAYOR STACK: If we could just have 10 everyone's attention just for a moment. 11 MR. AUTERI: Commissioner Fernandez. 12 COMMISSIONER FERNANDEZ: The City wants 13 to honor Mr. Zack Tahhan, nothing short of a hero. 14 He's a perfect example of see something, say 15 something. Although he works in New York City, 16 he's a Union City resident. And the City of Union 17 City would like to honor him for his heroism. 18 19 (Commissioner Fernandez read the 20 proclamation.) 21 22 MAYOR STACK: I would like to thank 23 Zack. I know I mentioned it -- I said a few words 24 before he came in tonight about what a hero her is 25 and about somebody who truly got involved in a  28 1 situation where he looked out for other people. 2 And that's truly what every day is about, looking 3 out for others. Because while today, he saved 4 people in New York City, we need people who do 5 that every single day, wherever we are in the 6 world, to look out for other people, not just 7 ourselves, but to look out for others as we want 8 people to look out for us and our families and our 9 friends and those that are closest to us. 10 So truly, Zack, on behalf of the City of 11 Union City, we truly thank you. 12 MR. TAHHAN: If you see something bad, 13 you have to say about it. I know somebody going 14 to do the same if you care about this country.
