Musto Cultural Center, 420 15th Street, Union 6 City, New Jersey. 7 Everyone please rise for the Pledge of 8 Allegiance. 9 10 (Whereupon the Pledge of Allegiance was 11 said.) 12 13 ACTING CITY CLERK: This meeting has been 14 called in accordance with Chapter 231, Public Law 15 of 1975, the Open Public Meeting Act. 16 Adequate notice of this meeting has been 17 provided as follows: 18 Notice of this meeting setting forth the 19 time, date, location, and the agenda, to the 20 extent known, was forwarded to The Jersey 21 Journal, The Record, and Hudson Reporter, has 22 been posted on bulletin board in City Hall and 23 has been made available to the public in the 24 office of Municipal Clerk. 25 4 1 ROLL CALL: 2 3 ACTING CITY CLERK: Roll call. 4 Commissioner Fernandez? 5 COMMISSIONER FERNANDEZ: Here. 6 ACTING CITY CLERK: Commissioner Rivas? 7 COMMISSIONER RIVAS: Here. 8 ACTING CITY CLERK: Commissioner Valdivia? 9 COMMISSIONER VALDIVIA: Here. 10 ACTING CITY CLERK: Commissioner 11 Martinetti? 12 COMMISSIONER MARTINETTI: Here. 13 ACTING CITY CLERK: Mayor Stack? 14 MAYOR STACK: Here. 15 16 REGULAR AGENDA 17 18 1. Resolution Supporting Transfer of Property 19 - Block 213, Lot 28; Block 218, Lot 17; Block 20 219, Lots 22-24 & 35-37 for the Proposed Uptown 21 Middle School 22 23 ACTING CITY CLERK: We have one item on the 24 agenda for tonight. It’s a Regular Agenda. 25 It’s a Resolution Supporting Transfer of 5 1 Property for Block 213, Lot 28; Block 218, Lot 2 17; Block 219, Lots 22 to 24 and 35 to 37 for -- 3 for the Proposed Uptown Middle School. 4 MAYOR STACK: Obviously this is self- 5 explanatory. It’s using the parking lots up on 6 -- from 35th Street area between Bergenline and 7 Kennedy Boulevard for an uptown middle school. 8 Anyone have any questions on this matter at 9 this time? 10 Seeing none. 11 I’ll make a motion. 12 ACTING CITY CLERK: Motion made by Mayor 13 Stack. 14 COMMISSIONER VALDIVIA: Second. 15 ACTING CITY CLERK: Second by Commissioner 16 Valdivia. 17 MS. NOVA: In this case, although normally 18 Commissioner Fernandez, Commissioner Valdivia and 19 Martinetti would recuse based on their conflicts 20 with the Board of Education, we -- based on the 21 doctrine of necessity, Commissioner Martinetti 22 and Commissioner Valdivia will be voting on this 23 matter. 24 ACTING CITY CLERK: So, roll call. 25 Commissioner Fernandez? 6 1 Recusing. 2 Commissioner Rivas? 3 COMMISSIONER RIVAS: Yes. 4 ACTING CITY CLERK: Commissioner Valdivia? 5 COMMISSIONER VALDIVIA: Yes. 6 ACTING CITY CLERK: Commissioner 7 Martinetti? 8 COMMISSIONER MARTINETTI: Yes. 9 ACTING CITY CLERK: Mayor Stack? 10 MAYOR STACK: Yes. 11 12 OPPORTUNITY FOR CITIZENS TO ADDRESS THE BOARD: 13 14 ACTING CITY CLERK: Mayor, there are no 15 other items on the agenda at this time. 16 Would you wish to take public comment? 17 MAYOR STACK: Sure. 18 Thank you first to the Commissioners for 19 being at the meeting today on -- this meeting at 20 this time.
