VALLEJO: Please take notice that on 2 Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 6 p.m., a regular 3 meeting is scheduled for the City of Union City 4 Planning Board to be hold in the Union City High 5 School, located at the 2500 John F. Kennedy 6 Boulevard, Union City, New Jersey. 7 Opening statement. This is a meeting 8 called in compliance with Chapter 231, Public Law 9 1975 of the Open Public Meeting Act. Adequate 10 notice of this meeting has been provided as 11 follows: Notice of this meeting setting forth the 12 time, date, location, and the agenda, to the 13 extent known, was forwarded to The Jersey Journal, 14 The Record, and The Hudson Reporter, has been 15 posted on the bulletin board in City Hall and has 16 been made available to the public in the Office of 17 the Municipal Clerk. 18 Before we call roll for this evening, 19 will everybody please rise to salute the flag. 20 21 (The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.) 22 23 ROLL CALL: 24 25 MR. VALLEJO: Adoption of the regular 4 meeting held on November 23, 2021. Can I have a 5 motion? 6 VICE CHAIRPERSON VELAZQUEZ: I make a 7 motion. 8 MR. VALLEJO: Motion by Mr. Velazquez. 9 MR. VALLEJO: First hearing on tonight's 6 agenda is an extension, Liberty Park at Union 7 City, LLC, 649-651 38th Street. Mr. Chewcaskie. 8 MR. CHEWCASKIE: All right. So on this 9 application, there was an application for an 10 extension of time, documents were submitted and 11 reviewed. We received the letter today from Mr. 12 Lopez indicating that he would not be at the 13 meeting tonight and requested that the matter be 14 adjourned until the February meeting. That being 15 the case, and since this is a request for 16 extension, the applicant can certainly request the 17 adjournment. I would recommend that the matter be 18 adjourned until the February meeting. 19 MAYOR STACK: I'll make the motion to 20 adjourn. 21 MR. This was another request for extension 11 that was placed on this agenda. We had received 12 all the documents and reviewed them. 13 Approximately 4:00 today, I did receive an email 14 from the attorney for the applicant, Ms. Perez, 15 who indicated that her children are sick and she 16 did not want to attend the meeting tonight and she 17 would not have time to send in a letter. 18 I indicated that I would raise that with 19 the Board and recommend that the matter be 20 adjourned to the February meeting. 21 MAYOR STACK: I'll make a motion to 22 approve. Normally, on that short notice, I would 23 not, but being that her children are sick, of 24 course, we're going to accommodate the attorney 25 and the applicant. 9 1 MR. VALLEJO: Motion to adjourn to 2 February 22nd, 2022, by Mayor Stack. 3 MR. OSEGUERA: Second. 4 MR. Liberty Park at Union City, LLC.649-651 38th Street. Block: 260 Lot: 30-60. Parking at basement and ground floor. 48 dwelling units at four floors above. The applicant seeks a one year extension. The approval resolution was memorialized on January 24, 2017. A. Lopez, Esq. Hearings/Application/Extension: 2. 613 39th Street LLC. 613 39th Street. Block: 261. Lot: 57. Applicant proposes a subdivision to create two (2) new lots. Lot 57 will be 2500 square feet and Lot 58 will be approximately 3125 square feet. And to construct a new four story three families on lot 57. The approval resolution was memorialized on January 28, 2020. Applicant is requesting a 1 year extension. B. Pereiras, Esq. VI.
