grant. She also provided additional staffing updates on the search for a part-time
Program Specialist, as well as the addition of student interns from the Community

its funding, but Urbana High School #116 intends to expand their Executive
Internship Program to include both the spring and fall semesters.
Storm provided updates on ongoing Arts and Culture programs, including The Great
ARTdoors, Urbana Utility Box Mural Program (currently in its initial year), Murals on
Glass, Artists of the Corridor, Young Artists Studio, Art Show & Tell for Young Kids,
Poet Laureate, Art Inspired, Urbana Sculpture Program, Urbana’s Downtown Get
Down, Summer Movie Nights, and Pandemics as Portal to Change. Storm also gave
updates on the Imagine Urbana (City of Urbana’s 20 year Comprehensive Plan)
collaboration, recently installed murals, and planned Boneyard Arts Festival activities.
Storm mentioned that she continues to attend the Urbana’s Creative Placemaking and
Activation meeting, that the CO+RE grant was funded, that surveys to local venues
and businesses regarding downtown activation are on-going, and that she is serving on
a committee to support interim use planning for City-owned parcels to include art.
Storms presentation ended with a list of key citywide festival dates.
