Smyth, City Clerk RECONVENED PUBLIC HEARING Monday, September 10, 2018 Reconvened from Monday, August 27, 2018 ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Aaron Ammons, Bill Brown, Jared Miller, Dennis Roberts, Maryalice Wu, Diane Wolfe Marlin, Charles Smyth ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: none ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dean Hazen, Eric Jakobsson STAFF PRESENT: Kevin Garcia, William Gray, Carol Mitten, Lorrie Pearson, John Schneider, James Simon OTHERS PRESENT: Rev. Dr. Evelyn Underwood, Members of the Media, I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL With a quorum present, Mayor Marlin called the public hearing to order at 7:00pm. Mayor Marlin stated this public hearing was reconvened from the public hearing held on August 27, 2018. She then stated the purpose of the hearing, which was to receive public input on proposed annexation agreement between the City of Urbana, the Judy Heimburger Trust, and Trinitas Development LLC for a tract of land consisting of approximately 8.38 acres and generally located east of North Oak Street, west of Cardinal Court, and north of North Sixth Street. The tract has a permanent index number of 30-21-06-326-015. Mayor Marlin opened the public hearing. II. PUBLIC INPUT Rev. Dr. Evelyn Underwood expressed her concern with the proposed development and the possible negative impact it might have on her neighborhood. She said she has watched houses being torn down in other areas and does not want her neighborhood torn down. She thinks people are becoming more aware about what is going on and urges them to speak up. III. ADJOURNMENT There being no further comments or questions, Mayor Marlin declared the public hearing adjourned at 7:07pm.
