URBANA CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES DATE: January 22, 2019 TIME: 7:00pm PLACE: Urbana City Council Chambers, 400 S. Vine St., Urbana, IL 61801 The City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met for a public hearing on January 22 at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Maryalice Wu; Eric Jakobsson; Shirese Hursey; Bill Brown; Dean Hazen; Jared Miller; Diane Wolfe Marlin, Mayor ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: None ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dennis Roberts; Charles A. Smyth, City Clerk STAFF PRESENT: Curt Borman; Brandon Boys; Elizabeth Hannan; Kay Meharry; Carol Mitten; John Schneider OTHERS PRESENT: Gina Pagliuso; members of the media I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL With a quorum present, Mayor Marlin called the public hearing to order at 7:00pm. Mayor Marlin opened the hearing and stated the purpose of the hearing, to hear public concerns and comments about a proposed agreement with Green Street Realty Co., of Ill. authorizing the sale of certain parcels of real estate owned by the City within the block surround by E. Elm St. on the north, S. Vine St. on the west, E. Green St. on the south, and Urbana Ave. on the east, commonly known as the 200 Block of S. Vine St. / 300 Block of E. Green St., Urbana, Illinois, having PINs and common addresses as follows: 92-21-17-233- 001 (202 S Vine St), 92-21-17-233-002 (305 E Elm St), 92-21-17-233-003 (307 E Elm St, 203 Urbana Ave), 92-21-17-233-004 (205 Urbana Ave), 92-21-17-233-005 (304 E Green St), 92- 21-17-233-006 (306 E Green St), and 92-21-17-233-007 (308 E Green St, 207 Urbana Ave). II. PUBLIC INPUT Gina Pagliuso told council members that many of the questions she had about the development have not been answered. She said there seem to be a lot of ambiguities and asked that the council consider those before voting on the development. VII. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Mayor Marlin adjourned the meeting at 7:02pm.
