A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 8:05 p.m. B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Alderman Ammons made a motion to approve minutes from the meeting held on April 6, 2015. Alderman Jakobsson seconded. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Alderman Smyth wanted to remind everyone about an invitation that was sent out regarding the ground breaking and Ribbon Cutting for UC2B/iTV3 this coming Friday at 11am at the corner of Carle/Delaware. H. REPORTS OF OFFICERS Public Works Director William Gray reminded everyone that tomorrow is the Multimodal Corridor Enhancement open house at the Illini Union room C from 11am-2pm and 4pm-6pm. Also by popular demand the Compost and Rain Barrel sales back this coming May 16 from 9am-3pm or while supplies last. It will take place at the corner of Green/Vine. Just a friendly reminder that there is road construction and there are lots of projects in, near and around the Urbana area. Alderman Ammons announced a Senior Fraud Prevention Seminar sponsor by State Representative Carol Ammons. This event will take place next Monday, May 11 from 10:30am- 12pm noon at the Hays Recreation Center in Champaign. Chief of Staff Mike Monson gave an updated report regarding the Electrical Aggregation rates. I. NEW BUSINESS 1. Ordinance No. 2015-05-047: An Ordinance Approving the City of Urbana and Urbana Home Consortium (Champaign/Urbana/Champaign County) Consolidated Plan for Fiscal Years 2015-2019 and Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Grants Management Division Manager Kelly Mierkowski started by introducing the staff that contributed to the following projects. Grants Coordinator Jennifer Gonzalez and Planning Interns Matthew Rejc and Maximillian Mahalek. Resolution No. 2015-05-022R: A Resolution of Protest against Proposed Text Amendments to the Champaign County Zoning Ordinance (Request by the Champaign County Zoning Administrator to amend the Champaign County Zoning Ordinance and the Champaign County Stormwater Management Policy-Plan Case Nos. CCZBA 769-AT- 13 and 773-AT-14) Planning Inter Maximillian Mahalek Presented this resolution with a recommendation to Defeat a Resolution to protest. Champaign County Zoning Administrator John Hall was able to answer questions. After presentation Alderwoman Marlin made a motion to Defeat Resolution No. 2015-05-022R as presented.
