Clark, City Clerk *** SPECIAL MEETING *** URBANA CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, September 22, 2014 The City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met in special session Monday, September 22, 2014 at 5:30pm in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT Charles Smyth, Alderman Ward 1 Eric Jakobsson, Alderman Ward 2 Carol Ammons, Alderwoman Ward 3 Bill Brown, Alderman Ward 4 Michael P. Madigan, Alderman Ward 6 Laurel Lunt Prussing, Mayor Phyllis D. Clark, City Clerk ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE None ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT Dennis Roberts, Alderman Ward 5 Diane Marlin, Alderwoman Ward 7 STAFF PRESENT Mike Monson; James Simon OTHERS PRESENT I. Call To Order and Roll Call There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 5:30pm. II. Petitions and Communications There were none. III. Closed Session to discuss Collective Bargaining Issues, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2) Alderman Smyth made a motion to go into closed session for collective bargaining issues, seconded by Alderman Brown and carried by roll call vote as follows: Urbana City Counsel (Special Meeting) Minutes: September 22, 2014 Page 2 of 2 Voting aye: Ammons, Brown, Jakobsson, Madigan, Smyth, Prussing Opposed: none Council moved into closed session at 5:32pm. The body went back into open session at 6:45pm with a motion by Alderwoman Ammons, seconded by Alderman Jakobsson, and carried by unanimous voice vote. IV. Adjournment There being no further business to come before this Special Council Meeting, Mayor Prussing declared the meeting adjourned at 6:45pm. ___________________________________ Phyllis D.
