Urbana Fire Department Foreign Fire Insurance Board Meeting MINUTES 7:30 AM Monday August 1st, 2016 1. CALL TO ORDER • Called to order by Buxton at 0737hrs. • MEMBERS PRESENT: Nightlinger, Jannusch, Lane, Buxton, Dilley, Thomas • MEMBERS ABSENT: Smith • GUESTS: Steven Doggett 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES • May 2nd, 2016: Motion to Approve by Jannusch, 2nd by Dilley, Passed, 7 Yays, 0 Nays 3. READING OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT • Checking: $6,308.89 • Money Market: $13,520.25 • Total: $19829.14 4. PUBLIC COMMENT (5 MINUTE LIMIT EACH) • None 5. OLD BUSINESS • Picture Board- Still looking into different options • Turnout Gear Patch- Completed • Station 1 Grill- Jannusch motioned to spend up to $600 towards either a new grill, or fixing the current one, 2nd by Lane, Lane-Yay Thomas-Yay Buxton-Yay Nightlinger- Yay Jannusch-Yay Dilley- Yay, Passed, 6 Yays 0 Nays • HFLS Bags- Still in the process of purchasing • DC Mattress/Mattress Covers- Completed • iPad/Firehouse Inspector- Completed • Station 1 Pole Pads- Completed 6. NEW BUSINESS • Cable TV- The board spoke about the current cost of the cable TV being provided and about other options available to us • Union Training- IAFF Local 1147 President Doggett presented a proposal to the board for providing the union with money to be used towards training opportunities. Further research is being conducted and no decision was made • 2% Annual Disbursement- Buxton spoke about the issue of the rising cost of uniforms and how it related with the current annual disbursements. Lane motioned to increase the annual disbursement by an amount of $100, 2nd by Thomas, Lane- Yay Thomas-Yay Buxton-Yay Nightlinger- Yay Jannusch-Yay Dilley-Yay, Passed, 6 Yays 0 Nays  • FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER o Nightstand Lights o Weather Stations 7.
