Clark, Town Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP BOARD Monday, November 3, 2014 The Cunningham Township Board met in regular session Monday, November 3, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Chair: Laurel Lunt Prussing Trustees: Carol Ammons, Bill Brown; Eric Jakobsson; Michael P. Madigan; Diane Marlin, Dennis Roberts, Charles Smyth Town Clerk: Phyllis Clark Supervisor: Michelle Mayol Assessor: Absent ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: There were none. ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dan Stebbins, Township Assessor OTHERS PRESENT: Fred Grosser; Members of the Media A. ROLL CALL Chair Prussing called the meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 7:01 p.m. B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Trustee Carol Ammons made a motion to approve minutes from meeting held on October 6, 2014. Trustee Dennis Roberts seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. C. COMMITTEE TO VERIFY BILLS The following items were presented in omnibus fashion: 1. Town Fund 2. General Assistance Fund Trustee Dennis Roberts made a motion to approve the Town Fund in the amount of $49,747.06 General Assistance Fund in the amount of $23,719.93. Trustee Diane Marlin seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. D. REPORTS OF OFFICERS Michelle Mayol presented that there would be a reduction in the health insurance cost. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There were none. G. NEW BUSINESS 1. Resolution No. T-2014-10-006R: A Resolution Determining The Amounts of Money Necessary to be Raised by The Tax Levy for the Tax Year 2014, Collectible in 2015. Michelle Mayol discussed the tax levy for the 2014 tax year, collectible in 2015. Ms. Mayol presented that the Town Board is not asking for an increase in the tax levy, as the township is sustainable at the current amount. Questions were presented and there was discussion between the trustees and Ms. Mayol regarding the levy, tax caps and a fair distribution of the General Assistance Fund, to be sure that all who are eligible for assistance do receive assistance. Trustee Diane Marlin made a motion to approve Resolution No. T- 2014-10-006R. Trustee Charles Smyth seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. H.
