Clark, Town Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP BOARD Monday, January 5, 2015 The Cunningham Township Board met in regular session Monday, January 5, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Chair: Laurel Lunt Prussing Trustees: Carol Ammons; Bill Brown; Eric Jakobsson; Michael P. Madigan; Diane Marlin; Dennis Roberts; Charles Smyth Town Clerk: Phyllis Clark Supervisor: Michelle Mayol Assessor: Absent ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dan Stebbins, Township Assessor OTHERS PRESENT: Fred Grosser; Members of the Media A. ROLL CALL Chair Prussing called the meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 7:01 p.m. B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to approve minutes from meeting held on December 1, 2014. Trustee Dennis Roberts seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. C. COMMITTEE TO VERIFY BILLS The following items were presented in omnibus fashion: 1. Town Fund 2. General Assistance Fund Trustee Carol Ammons made a motion to approve the Town Fund in the amount of $45,818.27 General Assistance Fund in the amount of $20,517.41. Trustee Charles Smyth seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. D. REPORTS OF OFFICERS There were none. E. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS Trustee Dennis Roberts address the board on behalf of one of his constituents about information of warming station, addressing the question to Michelle Mayol Township Supervisor is there a list for “Warming Station posted anywhere” Ms. Mayol responded by letting Mr. Roberts know that the Cunningham Township distributes a list of Warming Center throughout varies agencies otherwise they are posted in the Township building bulletin board. Mr. Roberts suggested posting Cunningham Township Board Meeting Minutes: Monday, January 5, 2015 Page 2 of 2 that information on the City of Urbana’s website. Chair Prussing suggested given that information to the Library and Police. Ms. Mayol will verify that these two entities have it otherwise she will send a copy to each of them. F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There were none. G. NEW BUSINESS There were none. Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to go into closed session at 7:05pm. Pending Litigation Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(11). Trustee Diane Marlin seconded. Motion carried by roll call. Votes were as follows: Carol Ammons – Aye Diane Marlin – Aye Bill Brown – Aye Dennis Roberts - Aye Eric Jakobsson – Aye Charles Smyth - Aye Michael P. Madigan – Aye Mayor Prussing – Aye Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to go back into open session at 7:21pm. Trustee Dennis Roberts seconded. Motion carried by roll call. Votes were as follows.
