Clark, Township Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP BOARD Monday, January 11, 2021 The Cunningham Township Board met in Regular session Monday, January 11, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. virtually via Zoom. Chair Marlin was physically present in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ROLL CALL Chair Marlin called the meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 6:32pm. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Trustee Miller made a motion to approve the minutes from the meetings held on December 14, 2020, December 14, 2020 (Public Hearing), and December 21, 2020 (Special Meeting). Seconded by Trustee Colbrook and carried by roll call vote as follows: Aye: Colbrook, Hursey, Miller, Sacks Nay: None 3. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA There was none. 4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was none. 5. COMMITTEE TO VERIFY BILLS The following items was presented in omnibus fashion: a. Town Fund b. General Assistance Fund Expenditures Totaling $116,553.42 Trustee Miller made a motion to approve the Town Fund for $31,058.21 and the General Assistance Fund for $85,497.21. Motion seconded by Trustee Wu and carried by roll call vote as follows: Aye: Brown, Colbrook, Hursey, Miller, Roberts, Sacks, Wu Nay: None Page 1 of 2  UNAPPROVED 6. REPORTS OF OFFICERS Township Supervisor Danielle Chynoweth provided a written report to the board. She gave a summary of her written statement, mentioning the following updates:  Currently there are 125 participants (down from 136)  52 are homeless (down from 60)  77 males/48 females/ 0 transgender or gender non-conforming  44.1 is the average age  Note: Community Work Program remained closed in December 2020  One rental assistance (down from 7 last month) Ms. Chynoweth presented the Mid-year Financial Report. She advised that income and expenses have been unpredictable as it relates to COVID-19. Ms. Chynoweth budgeted an increase in assistance because she anticipated deficit spending of over a half million dollars. She stated that her predictions have been close with about 50% of GA budget being spent by mid-year. The Township have been allocated reimbursements for COVID related expenses. Ms. Chynoweth gave an overview of the Rental Assistance program, Emergency Housing for families, Housing Advocacy and the many other forms of assistance that the Township is a participant. The Township continues to help low-income residents with food support through a CSSF grant to the Channing Murray Foundation. There were 2,704 residents, including 1,034 children fed thanks to the Bucket Brigade from March 25 through December 31. Ms. Chynoweth addressed question from trustees about charges to the credit card account and rental assistance program. Mr. Wayne Williams, from the Assessor’s Office, reported that the Assessor’s office is in the process of moving to their new location in Lincoln Square. 7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was none. 8.
