Clark, Town Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP BOARD Special Meeting Monday, June 15, 2015 The Cunningham Township Board met in Special session Monday, June 15, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Chair: Laurel Lunt Prussing Trustees: Aaron Ammons; Bill Brown; Eric Jakobsson; *Michael P. Madigan; Diane Marlin; Dennis Roberts; Charles Smyth Town Clerk: Phyllis D. Clark Supervisor: Michelle Mayol Assessor: Absent ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dan Stebbins, Township Assessor OTHERS PRESENT: *Michael P. Madigan joined meeting at 7:01pm; Fred Grosser; Members of the Media I. ROLL CALL Chair Prussing called the meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 7:00 p.m. II. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS There were none. III. NEW BUSINESS 1. Discussion: Town Board Budget Update At the request of Trustee Smyth, this meeting was held regarding the current Town Board Budget. Township Supervisor Michelle Mayol addressed the trustees’ question and concerns. Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to direct the Township Supervisor to prepare a new budget allocating an additional $75,000.00 to Social Service Funding bringing the total balance to $ 175,000.00. Trustee Eric Jakobsson seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. The Township Supervisor addressed the Board to have noted on record that she does not agree with the recommendation given by the board. Ms. Mayol clarified the board’s recommendation by reading the recommendation twice, communicating to the board that her understanding is to prepare a new budget with the following changes; Changing $100,000 to $175,000 to the Social Service Funding and an additional $50,000 to the Homelessness Program(Rental Assistance). Cunningham Township Board Meeting Minutes: Monday, June 15, 2015 Page 2 of 2 IV.
