Smyth, Township Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP SPECIAL BOARD MEETING Monday January 8, 2018 The Cunningham Township Board met in Special session at 6:00 p.m., Monday January 8, 2018 in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Chair: Diane Wolfe Marlin Trustees: Aaron Ammons; Bill Brown; Dean Hazen; Eric Jakobsson; Jared Miller Town Clerk: Charles A. Smyth Supervisor: Danielle Chynoweth Assessor: Wayne Williams ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: None ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dennis Roberts; Maryalice Wu OTHERS PRESENT: Fred Grosser, Township Attorney; Media members I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Chair Marlin called the special meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 6:00 p.m. II. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was none. III. NEW BUSINESS a. CLOSED AND OPEN SESSIONS TO CONSIDER Motion to go into closed session to discuss the employment, compensation, and dismissal of specific employees of the township assessor’s office pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) was made by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Hazen. Trustee Brown noted that the purpose of the closed session was specific to the termination of employees and any general discussion of personnel policy would occur in open session. Roll Call: Ammons, Aye; Brown, Aye; Hazen, Aye; Jakobsson, Aye; Miller, Aye. Motion passed 5-0. Trustees moved to the 2nd Floor Executive Conference Room at 6:05. Cunningham Township Board Meeting Minutes: January 8, 2018 Page 2 of 2 The Township Board returned to open session at 7:29 pm following a motion to return to open session by Trustee Brown, seconded by Trustee Ammons and passed by unanimous voice vote. IV. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Cunningham Township Board, Chair Marlin declared the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. Charles A.
