CITY OF VERONA MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE MAY 9, 2016 VERONA CITY HALL 1. The meeting was called to order by William “Mac” McGilvray at 6:30 p.m. 2 Roll Call: Elizabeth Doyle, Jack Linder, William “Mac” McGilvray. Also present: Alderperson Brad Stiner, Mayor Jon Hochkammer, Todd Taves, Ehlers & Associates, Joe Giver, Fire Chief and Cindy Engelke, Finance Director. 3. Approval of the 4/25/2016 Finance Committee Minutes: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to approve the 4/25/2016 Finance Committee minutes. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Payment of Bills: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Doyle, to approve the payment of bills in the amount of $1,040,316.87. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Out-of-Office Checks: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Doyle, to approve the payment of bills in the amount of $224,389.54. Motion carried 3-0. 6. Resolution No. R-16-017 Terminating TIF District No. 7 and Authorizing the City Treasurer to Distribute Excess Increment to Overlying Taxing Jurisdictions: Todd Taves from Ehlers was present and confirmed that there are no changes from the April 25 Finance and Council meeting presentations related to the close-out of TID District No. 7. Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Doyle, to recommend approval of Resolution No. R-16- 017 Terminating TIF District No. 7 and Authorizing the City Treasurer to Distribute Excess Increment to Overlying Taxing Jurisdictions. Motion carried 3-0. 7. Discussion and Possible Action re: Fire Station HVAC Service Agreement Proposals: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to recommend awarding the one year service agreement to General Heating and Air Conditioning in the amount of $17,117. Motion carried 3-0. 8. Discussion and Possible Action re: Proposed 2017 Budget Schedule: The 2017 Budget Schedule was reviewed. Alderperson Linder noted that he will not be available on August 15 and 17 for the Capital Budget presentations. Request was made to reschedule those two dates to the prior week and/or the following week. 9.
