City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE February 25, 2019 The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Chad Kemp at 6:30 p.m. in Conference Room D110 Roll Call: Chairperson Chad Kemp and Alder Christine Posey were present. Alder Kate Cronin was excused. Also present: Interim City Administrator Adam Sayre and Finance Director Brian Lamers Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of February 11, 2019 Finance Committee minutes: Motion was made by Kemp, seconded by Posey to approve the February 11, 2019 Finance Committee minutes with no changes noted. Motion carried 2-0. Discussion and Possible Action regarding notice of claim from Progressive Insurance-October 11, 2018 vehicle accident: Lamers explained this is in addition to the approval of last claim that was approved. It was approved and paid in the amount of $3,950.63 and the insurance came back with a new amount of $4,144.97 leaving a difference of $194.34. Motion was made by Kemp, seconded by Posey to recommend to City Council to pay the additional $194.34. Motion carried 2-0. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion was made by Kemp, seconded by Posey to approve the payment of bills totaling $4,399,474.69. Motion carried 2-0. Adjournment: Motion was made by Kemp, seconded by Posey, to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:36 p.m. Motion carried 2-0.
