City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE MARCH 10, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mara Helmke at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Chairperson Mara Helmke, Alder Christine Posey and Alder Patrick Lytle were present. Also present: Alder Beth Tucker Long, City Administrator Jamie Aulik and Finance Director Brian Lamers Public Comment: None Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of February 24, 2025 Finance Committee minutes: Motion was made by Lytle, seconded by Posey to approve the February 24, 2025 Finance Committee minutes with no changes noted. Motion carried 3-0. Discussion and Possible Action regarding ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Investing : Lamers stated from the information from DANA Investment there are 4 investments that do not meet ESG. After discussion it was decided to direct the Finance Director to only invest in ESG and to change the make the proposed changes to the Investment Policy for discussion and action at next Finance Committee meeting and to the City Council. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion was made by Lytle, seconded by Posey to approve the payment of bills totaling $695,577.83. Motion carried 3-0. Adjournment: Motion was made by Helmke, seconded by Posey to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:38 p.m. Motion carried 3-0.
