CITY OF VERONA MINUTES MUNICIPAL BOARD OF CANVASSERS NOVEMBER 9, 2012 1. The meeting was called to order by City Clerk, Kami Lynch at 4:02 p.m. 2. Roll call: Bill Burns, Karl Curtis and Kami Lynch. 3. Public Comments: None 4. Approval of Minutes from the August 20, 2012 Meeting: Motion by Curtis, seconded by Burns to approve the minutes with no adjustments. Motion Carried 3/0. 5. Processing and Counting of Absentee Ballots received after Election Day. There were nine late absentee ballots received from Wards 1 & 5; seven ballots were counted and two were rejected due to voter error. Wards 2-4 had seven late absentee ballots received and no ballots were rejected. Wards 6-9 had two late absentee ballots received. One was counted and was rejected due to voter error. All late absentee ballots were checked for error on the outside envelope, opened if acceptable, and then the ballots were counted by reporting unit. Votes for each reporting unit were tallied and totaled. 6. Summary Statement of Results. Wards 1 & 5 had votes from seven ballots added to Election Day totals. Wards 2-4 had votes from seven ballots added to Election Day totals. Wards 6-9 had one ballot that added additional votes to the Election Day totals. 7. Adjourn.
