CITY OF VERONA MINUTES MUNICIPAL BOARD OF CANVASSERS FEBRUARY 22, 2013 1. The meeting was called to order by City Clerk, Kami Lynch at 4:00 p.m. 2. Roll call Bill Burns and Kami Lynch. Karl Curtis was absent and excused. 3. Public Comments None 4. Approval of Minutes from the November 9, 2012 Meeting Motion by Burns, seconded by Lynch to approve the minutes with no adjustments. Motion Carried 2/0. 5. Processing and Counting of Absentee Ballots received after Election Day There were two late absentee ballots received from Wards 1-5; both ballots were counted and none were rejected. Wards 6-9 had two late absentee ballots received. One was counted and was rejected due to voter error. All late absentee ballots were checked for error on the outside envelope, opened if acceptable, and the ballots were counted by reporting unit. Votes for each reporting unit were tallied and totaled. 6. Summary Statement of Results Wards 1-5 had votes from two ballots added to Election Day totals. Wards 6-9 had one ballot that added additional votes to the Election Day totals. 7. Adjourn Motion by Burns, seconded by Lynch, to adjourn the meeting at 4:06 p.m. Motion carried 2/0.
