CITY OF VERONA MINUTES MUNICIPAL BOARD OF CANVASSERS AUGUST 18, 2014 1. The meeting was called to order by Kami Scofield at 8:37 a.m. 2. Roll call: Bill Burns, Karl Curtis, and Kami Scofield. 3. Public Comments: None. 4. Approval of Minutes from the April 4, 2014 Meeting: Motion by Burns, seconded by Curtis to approve the minutes with no adjustments. Motion carried 3/0. 5. Processing and Counting of Absentee Ballots received after Election Day: There were no late absentee ballots received from Wards 1&5. Wards 2-4 had one late absentee ballot received. The ballot certificate envelope was reviewed for error and the enclosed ballot was counted. Wards 6-9 had two late absentee ballots received. Both ballot certificate envelopes were reviewed for error and then the ballots were counted. Votes for each reporting unit were tallied and totaled separately. 6. Summary Statement of Results: Wards 2-4 had votes from one ballot added to Election Day totals. Wards 6-9 had two ballots that added additional votes to the Election Day totals. 7. Adjournment: Motion by Burns, seconded by Curtis, to adjourn the meeting at 8:46 a.m. Motion carried 3/0. Kami Scofield, City Clerk
