CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PARK, RECREATION & FORESTRY COMMISSION WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16, 2022 1. The meeting was called to order by chairperson Tyler Powers at 5:19 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Present: Tyler Powers, Heather Reekie, Paul Schmidt, Phil Hoechst. Also present: Pat Groom, Parks Director; Casey Dudley, Recreation Director 3. Motion made by Reekie, seconded by Hoechst, to approve the minutes of the February 16, 2022 meeting of the Park, Recreation, and Forestry Commission. Motion carried 4-0. 4. The Verona Historical Society submitted a special event request to hold a 175th Anniversary of the City of Verona at Hometown Junction on Thursday, June 30th from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. If needed, a rain date is scheduled for Friday, July 1st. Motion to approve request made by Powers, seconded by Schmidt. Motion carried 4-0. 5. Playground design proposals (5) for Neff Park were reviewed by the PRF Commission. Motion to approve the selection of a design submitted by Lee Recreation made by Reekie and seconded by Hoechst.
