FEBRUARY 9, 2015
VERONA CITY HALL
1. The meeting was called to order by Elizabeth Doyle at 5:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Elizabeth Doyle, Heather Reekie, Dale Yurs. Also present: Jon Hochkammer,
Mayor; Bill Burns, City Administrator; Joe Giver, Fire Chief, Bryan Kleinmaier, City
Attorney
3. Approval of the Minutes of the January 12, 2015 Personnel Committee Minutes: Motion by
Reekie, seconded by Doyle, to approve the minutes of the January 12, 2015 Personnel
Committee meeting. Motion carried 3-0.
4. Discussion of a Negotiation Strategy for a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the
International Association of Fire Firefighters (IAFF) Local 311 Unit:
Motion by Doyle, seconded by Yurs, to convene in closed session as authorized by Section
19.85(1)(e) of the Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the
purchase of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified
public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session.
Voting Aye: Doyle, Yurs. Voting No: Reekie. There was no action on this item in open
session.
5. Adjournment: Motion by Yurs, seconded by Doyle, to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
Motion carried 3-0.
