City of Verona Personnel Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES PERSONNEL COMMITTEE January 8, 2018 VERONA CITY HALL 1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Doyle 5:31 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Elizabeth Doyle, Heather Reekie, and Sarah Gaskell. Also present: Mayor Hochkammer, and City Administrator, Jeff Mikorski. 3. Approval of minutes from the January 3, 2018 Personnel Committee meeting. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Gaskell to approve the minutes. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Discussion and Possible Action re: Job Description and Recruitment for the Deputy City Clerk position. Mikorski presented the Personnel Committee with the proposed Job Description and job posting for the soon to be vacant Deputy City Clerk position. Holly Licht resigned after accepting a City Clerk position with her last day of January 12, 2018. Also, In order to eliminate a gap in personnel, the City will contract to have a temporary administrative assistant person during the hiring period for the Deputy City Clerk position. Motion by Doyle, seconded by Reekie, to approve the job description and job notice for the Deputy City Clerk position. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Discussion and possible action re: Performance Evaluation of the City Administrator. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Gaskell to convene in closed session as authorized by Section 19.85 (1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes – Personnel Matters (Performance Evaluation). Roll call vote was unanimous. Closed session convened at 5:45 p.m. 6. Reconvene in Open Session: Motion by Reekie, seconded by Gaskell to reconvene in open session at 6:14 pm. Motion carried 3-0. 7.
