MINUTES
1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Scott Manley at 5:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Members Present: Jeremy Charles, Scott Manley, and Evan Touchett.
Others Present: Bernie Coughlin, Police Chief; and Kami Lynch, City Clerk.
3. Approval of Minutes. Motion by Manley, seconded by Touchett to approve
the minutes of the February 27, 2012 meeting. Motion carried 3/0.
4. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a Special Events
Permit and a MOU for Hometown Days June 7-10 from Brad Zaugg of BRAVA
Enterprises, LLC. Motion by Touchett seconded by Charles to recommend
approval of the permit with the hours of the event as follows:
Thursday, June 7, 2012 5:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Friday, June 8, 2012 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Saturday, June 9, 2012 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Sunday, June 10, 2012 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
5. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a Temporary
Class B Fermented Malt Beverage License for Hometown Days June 7-10
from Scott Seid of the Rotary Club of Fitchburg-Verona. Motion by Touchett,
seconded by Charles to recommend that the Common Council approve the
license with the hours of the beer tent to reflect the hours of the event.
Motion Carried 3/0.
6. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a Temporary
Class B Fermented Malt Beverage License for Ice Inc., located at 103 Lincoln
Street, Adult Hockey Tournament, May 11-13, 2012. Motion by Touchett,
seconded by Charles to recommend that the Common Council approve the
license. Motion carried 3/0.
7. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a
Cigarette/Tobbaco License for Hometown Mart located at 600 West Verona
Avenue from Mohammed Naimullah. Motion by Charles, seconded by Manley
to recommend that the Common Council approve the license. Motion Carried
2/1 with Ald. Touchett voting “No”.
8. Discussion and possible action regarding Ordinance No. 12-817 Speed Limits;
amending Section 12 of Chapter 1 of Title 10, Motor Vehicles and Traffic.
Motion by Charles seconded by Manley to recommend approval of the
ordinance to the Common Council. Motion carried 3/0.
9. Motion by Touchett seconded by Charles to adjourn the meeting at 6:03 p.m.
Motion carried 3/0.
