CITY OF VERONA PUBLIC SAFETY AND WELFARE COMMITTEE NOVEMBER 24, 2014 VERONA CITY HALL MINUTES 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Yurs at 6:01 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Members Present: Heather Reekie, Evan Touchett, and Dale Yurs. Others Present: Bernie Coughlin, Police Chief; and Kami Scofield, City Clerk. 3. Approval of Minutes. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Touchett to approve the minutes from the November 10, 2014 meeting. Motion carried 3/0. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding Ordinance 14‐853 amending Section 13 of Chapter 1 of Title 10 of the City of Verona Code of Ordinances; Motor Vehicles and Traffic, Parking Prohibited During Certain Periods. Chief Coughlin explained that this ordinance is to correct the time adopted in Ordinance 14‐852 from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to be consistent with other parking regulations during school pick‐up and drop‐off times. Motion by Touchett, seconded by Reekie to recommend that the Council Approve Ordinance 14‐ 853. Motion carried 3/0. 5. Adjournment.
