Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order Invocation was given by Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Alderman Alex J. Monsour, Jr. 2. Roll Call Present: 3- Mayor George Flaggs Jr. Alderman Michael A. Mayfield Sr. Alderman Alex J. Monsour Jr. 3. Board Comments: 4. Adopt Agenda Mayor Flaggs called the meeting to order. On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Mayor Flaggs, the mayor and Aldermen voted to open the meeting. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote Routine Agenda: A. ID-18-0625 Approve Request for Allocation of funds in the amount of $17,000.00 to The Community Fund for Four Seasons of the Arts for the 2018 Calendar Year On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve allocation of funds in the amount of $17,000.00 to the Vicksburg-Warren County Community Fund for Four Seasons of the Arts. The City is authorized pursuant to Sec. 17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, this brings into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities & resources of the City and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interests of the City. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-18-0626 Approve Claims Docket The City Clerk presented the Docket of Claims numbering 145269 through 145272. On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Claims Docket. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Contracts: C. ID-18-0624 Authorize Mayor to Execute Contract with Planet Recess for Catfish Row Art Park Splash Pad Re-Development and Issue Notice to Proceed On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to Execute Contract with Planet Recess for Catfish Row Art Park Splash Pad Re-Development and Issue Notice to Proceed.
