The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive session. Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Longevity Pay-Airport (1); Longevity Pay-Water Department (1); Pay Adjustment-Police Department (2); Termination-Fire Department (1); FMLA Request-Accounting (1); Promotions-Police Department (9); Pay Adjustment-Cemetery (1). The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr. Upon vote being taken, the following Voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Longevity Pay-Airport (1); Longevity Pay-Water Department (1); Pay Adjustment-Police Department (2); Termination-Fire Department (1); FMLA Request-Accounting (1); Promotions-Police Department (9); Pay Adjustment-Cemetery (1). The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. A. ID-24-0094 Pay Adjustments - Police Department (2) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve a Pay Adjustment of a Police Officer from $18.52 per hour to $18.72 (18.52+.20) per hour, effective January 25, 2024. This adjustment includes Longevity Pay. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase for one (1) year of service. A Pay Adjustment for a Police Officer-FTO from 19.07 per hour to $19.82 (19.07+.75) per hour, effective December 25, 2023. ID-24-0095 Pay Adjustment - Cemetery (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve a Pay Adjustment for an Equipment Operator from $14.00 per hour to $15.00 per hour, effective January 10, 2024. This action is to bring the employee up to his correct rate of pay in the Cemetery Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-24-0096 Longevity Pay - Water Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve a Pay Adjustment for a Laborer from $9.00 per hour to $9.20 ($9.00 +.20) per hour, effective January 25, 2024. Employee is entitled to additional .20 cents increase for one (1) year of service in the Water Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. D. ID-24-0097 Longevity Pay - Airport (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve a Longevity Pay for an Operations Manager from $15.50 per hour to $15.70 ($15.30+.20+.20) per hour, effective January 26, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents for six (6) years of service in the Airport Department.
