Buys on behalf of the Red Carpet Bowl Committee will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial, and other interests of the City of Vicksburg. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from the Red Carpet Bowl in the amount of $5,000.00 for their Red Carpet Bowl on August 23, 2024. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Executive Session: Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen to go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Monsour, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, None Voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive session. Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Rescind Longevity Pay-Recreation department (1); Transfer-Youth Development (1); Pay Adjustment-Police Department (4); Longevity Pay-Police Department (1); Longevity Pay-Water Department (1); Military Leave-Fire Department (1) The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Monsour, Jr., Alderman Mayfield. The motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Aldermen announced they would go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Rescind Longevity Pay-Recreation department (1); Transfer-Youth Development (1); Pay Adjustment-Police Department (4); Longevity Pay-Police Department (1); Longevity Pay-Water Department (1); Military Leave-Fire Department (1) The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. ID-24-0746 Rescind Longevity Pay - Recreation Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to Rescind a previous Longevity Correction request of a Program Coordinator. Employee has eight (8) years of service versus two (2) years. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-24-0760 Transfer - Youth Development (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve a Transfer of a Grants Coordinator from $39.23 to a Parent Liasion at $23.0769. Employee will transfer to the Youth Development Center, effective July 8, 2024. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-24-0747 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (4) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Police Officer from $20.77 per hour to a Field Training Officer at $21.52 per hour, effective June 24, 2024; Police Officer from $20.00 per hour to $20.20 ($20.00 +.20), effective July 5, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour increase for one (1) year of service; Pay Adjustment of a Deputy Chief from $38.0470 per hour to $38.2470 ($37.8470+.20+.20) per hour, effective July 6, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase per hour for three (3) years of service; Pay Adjustment of a Deputy Chief from $38.3070 per hour to $38.5070 ($38.1070+.20+.20) per hour, effective July 6, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour increase for three (3) years of service. All employees are in the Police Department. ID-24-0748 Longevity Pay - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Police Officer from $13.22 per hour to $13.42 ($13.02+.20+.20) per hour, effective July 6, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase per hour for four (4) years of service in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. E. ID-24-0749 Longevity Pay - Water Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of an Equipment Operator from $18.48 per hour to $18.68 (18.39+.09+.20) per hour, effective July 9, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase per hour for ten (10) years of service in the Water Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. F. ID-24-0750 Military Leave - Fire Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Military Leave Request of a Firefighter. Employee will be on Military Leave beginning June 27, 2024 with an end date of September 30, 2024. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. G.
