The Mayor and Alderman of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from Radio WVBG 107.7 and Lendsi Radio WVBG 105.5 in the amount of $590.00 for their Warren Central and Vicksburg High School football games in October and November. The city is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi code of 1972, as amended. ID-24-1189 Authorize Mayor to execute Contract with Central Asphalt, Inc. for NRCS EWP Erosion Control Project - Evergreen Drive, Iowa Boulevard Site 4, and Patricia Street Stabilization (3 Sites) in the amount of $524,868.00 Attachments: Contract Central Asphalt Iowa #4-Evergreen-Patricia On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to Authorize the Mayor to execute Contract with Central Asphalt, Inc. for NRCS EWP Erosion Control Project - Evergreen Drive, Iowa Boulevard Site 4, and Patricia Street Stabilization (3 Sites) in the amount of $524,868.00. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Executive Session: Mayor Flaggs, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen to go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Monsour, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, None Voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive session. ID-24-1200 Longevity Pay - Cemetery (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of an Office Assistant from $15.20 per hour to $15.40 (15.00+ .20+.20) per hour, effective October 7, 2024 at the Cemetery. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase per hour for four (4) years of service. ID-24-1201 Longevity Pay - Vehicle Maintenance (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Foreman from $18.10 per hour to $18.30 (17.61+ .09+.20+.20+.20) per hour, effective October 7, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase per hour for ten (10) years of service in Vehicle Maintenance. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-24-1202 Longevity Pay - Building Maintenance (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of an HVAC Technician from $18.81 per hour to $19.01 (18.32+ .09+.20+.20+.20) per hour, effective October 7, 2024. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase per hour for ten (10) years of service in Building Maintenance. ID-24-1203 Pay Adjustment - Legal (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of an Attorney from $50.48 per hour to $52.88 per hour, effective October 2, 2024. Employee is due an additional $5,000 increase per year in the Legal Department. ID-24-1204 Pay Adjustment - Accounting (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of an Accounting Specialist I from $14.99 per hour to $16.19 per hour, effective October 2, 2024. Employee is in the Accounting Department and will not receive the 3% raise that goes into effect on October 1, 2024. ID-24-1205 Pay Adjustment - Ambulance (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Captain Paramedic 1 from $19.35 per hour to a Paramedic V at $20.01 per hour, effective October 2, 2024. Employee has met requirements for increase in Tier Pay System in the Ambulance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. G. ID-24-1206 Pay Adjustment - Police (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Booking Officer from $13.17 per hour to $13.67 per hour, effective October 7, 2024. Employee is eligible for a $.50 increase per hour for fifteen (15) years of service in the Police Department.. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. H. ID-24-1207 Title Change - City Clerk (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Title Change of a Deputy City Clerk to a Associate City Clerk, effective October 2, 2024 in the City Clerk's Office. This action is to change the employee's title to accommodate the $5,000 raise that was given on October 2, 2024. ID-24-1208 Pay Correction - Police (2) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Correction of an Entry Level Police Officer to a salary of $20.65 per hour. Employee now holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and is eligible for a pay increase, effective October 2, 2024; Pay Correction of an Entry Level Police Officer to a salary of $20.94 per hour. Employee now holds a Master of Science Degree and is eligible for a pay increase effective October 2, 2024. Both employees are in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. J. ID-24-1209 Termination - Ambulance (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Termination of an employee, effective October 2, 2024. Employee is due all pay owed in the Ambulance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. K.
