Present in town hall were Chairman Roy Baldwin, Vice-Chair Michael Cheselka, Patty Hanley, Paul Layer, Linda van Doorn , Planning and Zoning Administrator Andera West, Planner Sharmaine Abaied, and Board Clerk Yaska Camacho Castillo. The applicants present were: Christo Sarantis- Owner of The Maple Room- 21441 Pacific Boulevard Sterling, VA, Keith Iott - Architect 310 Hammond St Salisbury, MD, John Gaston - Civil Engineer 21441 Pacific Boulevard Sterling, VA Mr. Keith gave the Board a brief presentation regarding proposed exterior modifications to The Maple Room, the old Amphora restaurant. The Board discussed the proposed changes and recommended the following: - Instead of painting the board suggested to power wash the stones. - Tower to come down to 3ft rather than 5 ft. - Instead of having the windows on the front the board suggested to have them on the side. - Color scheme changes to natural or potentially a charcoal grey. - Sign panel to be located at the front. - Fountain to be part of the application process. - Exploring the hardy Panels vs EIFS - Board members to look at the stones after it has been power washed. - Second work session recommended The meeting was adjourned at 11:11 AM Respectfully Submitted, Yaska Camacho Castillo Board Clerk THE TOWN OF VIENNA IS COMMITTED TO FULL COMPLIANCE WITH THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT STANDARDS.
