Committee members’ questions were addressed and concerns/input noted for consideration. 2. New Business Town of Vienna Page 1 Printed on 6/5/2023 Town Business Liaison Committee Action Summary - Final April 13, 2023 Robert Leggett Outstanding Service Award Attachments: Service Awards 22 Outstanding Service Award Description The nomination form for the Robert Leggett Outstanding Service award is available online. Deadline for submissions is midnight April 30,2023. The recipient will be recognized at the Thrive Awards scheduled for Thursday, May 18, 2023. Director Monkou has spoken with the Leggett family to assure their support. Committee members will meet on May 1, 2023 at 5:00 PM to select the winner. 5. Regular Business Welcoming New Businesses Attachments: Postcard Side 1 Postcard Side 2 TBLC New Business File Apr 23 The postcard has been developed and will be sent to every new business opened since January 2023. Tim Fricker and Jen Morrow will handle the mailing. Steven Oh has drafted a letter as well, but discussion was tabled due to his absence. Business Appreciation Month: Thrive Awards Attachments: Thrive Award Invite List The cocktail reception and ceremony is scheduled for May 18, 2023. Committee members are urged to encourage business owners to attend. Code Create Commercial Engagement Chairman Morrow encouraged committee members to look over the attachments and bring forth any comments or concerns. Report from the Economic Development Director Chairman Morrow recognized Natalie Monkou, Director, Economic Development Upcoming Council Meetings of importance to the committee include: April 17, 2023, April 24, 2023, May 1, 2023, May 8, 2023 the Town Council will discuss the Annex during a conference session. The IGNITE Small Business Boot Camp four session webinar has been planned for April 24, 2023 through May 4, 2023. The virtual sessions will run every Monday and Wednesday for two weeks. Registration is free. The second phase of the parking study is nearing completion and a memo will be presented to Council within the next month. Input will be sought from TBLC during the next phase of the study. Hallie Willis will be leaving her position with the Department of Economic Development as of April 28, 2023. 7.
