Resolution VPAC21-059 Continuity of government resolution Ms. Biles read the Continuity of Government Resolution. All agreed via vote. 2. Regular Business VPAC21-062 Electronic Participation Resolution Policy vote Acceptance of Electronic Participation Resolution Policy Motion accepted unanimously VPAC21-063 Vienna Public Art Foundation- this item is essential as the foundation receives donations for projects • An application has been received from a person looking to serve on the VPAF. It was sent to the VPAC gmail account. Ms. Biles sent an email and invite to the meeting, but did not get a response back. Ms. Blevins will request to run the Call for Volunteers article in the November Voice. • Ms. Aglio submitted the paperwork required to receive the matching funds from the Virginia Commission for the Arts. • Ms. Aglio is having trouble getting the “not for profit” status. The state commission is having a problem processing the form. VPAC21-064 VPAC/foundation brochure update • Ms. Bruno reported that the graphic designer with New York School of Art in Town of Vienna Page 1 Printed on 10/20/2021 Vienna Public Art Commission Meeting Minutes September 27, 2021 Vienna sent potential logo designs with different colors/gradients. She will send them out in an email and add them in Google drive for feedback from the group. • Ms. Blevins will ask the Town’s Public Information Office if the VPAC can create an Instagram page. VPAC21-065 Green Hearts Juice mural- this is not a VPAC project, but relates to business revitalization and economic development. no update on design choice VPAC21-066 Harmony Park update • Ms. Cousins will reach out to the Children’s Discovery Garden Coordinator with Ayr Hill Garden Club. • Ms. Bruno will continue to research prices. She has had difficulty getting a response from several companies. • Ms. Aglio suggested a park name: Musical Sculpture Garden • Leslie Herman will coordinate a meeting with all parties- NOVA Parks, Ayr Hill Garden Club and TOV once a company and pricing has been determined. VPAC21-067 TOV “Vision For Public Art”- in collaboration with Economic Development Office • Ms. Aglio suggested the VPAC create a document with different sections (history of public art in Vienna, possible locations, what support is needed, funding, etc). The Leesburg public art vision will be used as a structure. VPAC members will be tasked to write a section, and the process will be coordinated in Google docs. All members agreed to move forward with creating the Vision document. VPAC21-068 Cedar Park mural no contact from building owner. This will be removed from the next agenda. New Business Mr. Cheselka would like to continue to pursue the mural on the side of the Patrick Henry Library. The design would be the Liberty Amendments Month logo. Mr. Cheselka will reach out to artists who may be willing to paint the mural for free or for a minimal fee- since the building is scheduled to be torn down in 2 years. 5. Meeting Adjournment Ms. Aglio made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cheselka. The motion passed unanimously.
